Dream life

What do I want to feel? What do I want to experience? What do I want to think about? Where do I want to be? With whom do I want to be? There are many more questions like these.

How often do we ask questions like that? How often do we dream?

Most of our lives we decide to spend on reacting to what happens to us. There is however another option. At any given moment we have the option to start from scratch. Start dreaming.

It is a wonderful feeling to know what you want. Once you know where you want to go you can start looking for the pathway that leads in that direction.

It comes at no suprise that if we choose to just go in the direction determined by our reactions to what happens to us we will be living a life that is comparable to that of a ship with a broken navigation system. Everything will be completely random and quite likely we will experience a lot of suffering.

Yoga practice teaches us to live in a state of continuous awareness. It warns us of the dangers of switching the automatic pilot on. And it speaks of the rewards of following our dreams. Creating a dream life is not just a possibility. It is that that brings us bliss and freedom.
